Dr. Princella Olalo

Princella was born in the Philippines, but primarily grew up in the Central Valley of Modesto, CA.  She attended UCLA for undergrad where she completed a B.S. in Biology and discovered her passion for volunteering at community health fairs for underserved communities of LA County. She then went to medical school at Michigan State University. She returned to California for pediatric residency and an additional chief resident year at Harbor-UCLA. She moved closer to home to complete her PICU fellowship at UC Davis where she studied fluid management in traumatic brain injury and helped develop a mechanical ventilation weaning protocol and a sedation withdrawal-delirium prevention pathway.  After fellowship, she then went on to work in the CVICU at Stanford Children's Hospital, caring for some of the sickest children with complex congenital heart disease.  She is excited to join the SCPCC Group and return to sunny Southern California. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Tony, trying the tastiest new restaurants, rooting for her favorite sports teams, and traveling the world.
